Regarding AFKs (Away From Keyboard):
We understand that sometimes life gets in the way when your turn comes up. Bosses call you into meetings, kids need hugs, dogs need walking NOW. So, keeping that in mind, we have set a policy on what happens to your place in line if you aren't around when we call you. Our intent is to keep things fair for everybody while keeping the line moving. The policy is this: If you aren't around when your turn is up, we mark you as AFK in the DJ Waitlist, along with the time. We will then call the next person in line to step up and DJ. When you come back from AFK, it is YOUR responsibility to un-mark yourself; we won't continually ping you. This way you get to keep your place in line if the kids start screaming, and we don't clutter the chat channel with pings. We will automatically take you out of queue after 90 minutes or so, in case you are not able to get back to remove yourself. To be fair to everybody, we cannot hold AFK slots longer than 90 minutes. One-and-down AFKs: It's really hard to keep track of the list when things are moving fast, so we don't track AFKs during one-and-down special programming; if you miss your turn, you have to sign up again. Thanks for understanding! |
